"Whilst developing and adopting Southampton’s Green Space Strategy we discovered that:

• 92% of you consider having good parks and green spaces in Southampton as really important to your quality of life.

• 96% of you thought parks make Southampton a more vibrant and healthy place to live, work and visit.

• 93% of you felt that local groups should be encouraged to have a greater role in managing parks and green spaces.

Your top priority action for the future was that there should be a review of the greens spaces to assess their current quality to give us a basis for future improvements".
